This comes to no surprise as this popular coffeebreak roguelike has broken free from the roguelike niche into the indie world, spawning an active community and attracting heaps of people into our roguemundi! Congratulations to Kornel and good luck with all his endeavours!

ASCII Dreams, Andrew Doull’s blog made famous by its “Designing a Magic System” series, is holding a poll for the roguelike of the year 2008!
The list was taken from the roguelike releases announced on the Rogue Basin news section between January 1st and December 17th 2008 and from the list of Actively Developing Roguelikes maintained by Jeff Lait. There are a record 75 entries this year

The silent noise of the L5 Region
People of the rogueworld, I am glad to announce the latest production of Joe Hewitt’s Ataraxia Theatre!
The story begins at the Rishiri Region: L5 Orbital Pattern, not long after the Typhon incident at Snake Lake City (the same time frame of GearHead 2).
Mischa, a wealthy adventurer from Luna, has landed on the fanatics crowded Yatate Spinner, along with her sentient dweller robot dog, Bjorn. What will happen next is unknown, the Red Mask Raiders pirate group, along with a unique characters set will surely add up for an exciting adventure!
So, be sure to link “Mischa’s Story”, which updates on on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. First strip is out already!
